"As a 6th generation Broadwater County resident; with roots dating back to the 1870’s in the Gurnett Creek drainage; as a kid I have fond memories of going to TOKE Pizza, the Creamery and Jasper’s, to shoot pool after high school ball games. It was fun for my folks to get together with friends, eat and visit while us kids thrusted quarters into the jukebox, video games, and of course the pool table. Times seemed so much simpler back then. Jaspers and the Creamery have been long gone, replaced by a Town Pump Casino and office buildings, leaving no place for families to go after high school ball games and feel comfortable with little ones running around."
